Hydraulic spreaders

  • January 3, 2021

In the production of cars, welds are tested in two ways: ultrasonic (at each weld) and destructive (random). Based on years of experience in spreading systems, Holmatro has developed an industrial hydraulic spreading system, called HATS (Holmatro Automotive Testing System), specifically for destructive testing in the automotive production sector.

Destructive testing

In ultrasonic testing, it is difficult to interpret the readings and to define when a discontinuity is unacceptable. With the Holmatro Automitive Testing Spreader (HATS) it is easy to determine the actual quality of the welds by testing them destructively. Step 1: Determine the access point. Step 2: spread the metal plates. Step 3: check the welds. The material around the weld should tear (break), not the weld itself.

Types of Tools

Hydraulic scissors

Hydraulic shears are used for cutting materials, especially suitable for metals. The shears are closed by means of a hydraulic cylinder fed by a pump. The two blades of the scissors are made of hardened steel and have enough force to cut most car parts.

Hydraulic spreader

A spreader consists of two parts that can either move towards or away from each other, so it can spread and squeeze. A spreader can be used to press parts apart to make space or tear metal. By clamping a spreader on an object a lever is created with which the object can be bent or moved. By attaching chains to the ends of the spreader a spreader can also provide traction.

Hydraulic ram

A ram is a hydraulic cylinder that is used to push parts apart. A ram works in one straight line and delivers mainly compressive force. Most rams are not built to deliver tensile force.

Rams may also consist of multiple cylinders or may be telescopically constructed to increase the working length.

DJ booking for your wedding

Hire wedding dj? We have a wide range of DJs who can mix and match images with style. But of course mixing isn’t the only thing a DJ does, feeling the audience and choosing the right records is what makes the atmosphere. By hiring a DJ you know the atmosphere will be fine.

More and more electronic music is being produced on stage, which is why we also include DJs under ‘live’. A DJ is generally flexible in what genre he or she spins, but of course every DJ has a specialty. Depending on the ambiance you are looking for, there is a wide choice of DJs that can be hired for different situations.

When booking a DJ it is important to make arrangements about the equipment that will be brought along. It is also wise to take into account the length of the evening when booking.

Renting bands

For the quieter occasions such as Living Room Concerts or Receptions semi-acoustic bands are a tried and tested concept to hire. We offer a wide range of live music that is quiet; nice to listen to; and can function both in the foreground and in the background.

For an intimate setting, booking a singer or singer is an appropriate choice because they know how to entertain the guests flawlessly. For concerts in a living room you can choose from very talented singer-songwriters and small band formations.

For ceremonies you can consider hiring a singer accompanied by a small unamplified formation. But a classical ensemble, a choir or quiet folk band books can also be a nice change for between the speakers.
